What happens when you run out, how batch calls are counted, and what you are and are not charged for.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — select the Free plan when you sign up, no credit card required. You get 100 credits to evaluate the REST API or MCP. They're one-time and don't refill. When they're gone, upgrade to a paid plan to continue.
Are there any rate limits?
No rate limits, no throttling, no daily caps. Send requests as fast as you need. Your plan's credit balance is the only limit.
What happens when I run out of credits?
By default, requests stop and return an error — no automatic upgrades or extra charges on any plan. On paid plans, you can optionally enable extra usage beyond your monthly credits instead of hard-stopping: it's billed at the same per-credit rate as your plan, capped by a monthly limit you set (up to your plan's price), and charged at the end of the billing cycle. You can also just upgrade your plan or wait for the next cycle.
Do credits roll over?
No. Each renewal resets your balance to your plan's monthly credits, so unused ones don't accumulate. The one exception is a mid-cycle upgrade, where your unused credits carry over and the new plan's extra allowance is added on top.
Can I change plans mid-cycle?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately: you're charged the new plan's full price up front, your unused credits carry over, and the difference between the two plans' allowances is added on top. Your billing cycle restarts from that day. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal instead — you keep your current plan and its credits until the cycle ends, and there's nothing to pay in the meantime.
Am I charged for failed requests?
No. Failed or timed-out requests don't consume credits. You only pay for successful responses.
How are paginated results billed?
One credit per call, however many items come back. Feeds, comments, and search results are paginated, so pulling a profile's whole post history or a long comment thread costs one credit per page rather than one credit for the entire set. Page sizes differ by endpoint — some return 10 items, some up to 100 — and each page costs the same single credit either way.
How are batch endpoints billed?
Batch endpoints bill each item as its own request — 1 credit per item, same as if you'd fetched it individually. Submitting 10 IDs in one batch call costs 10 credits.
